Dashboards
The active board and the dashboard library: ownership and sharing, ready-made boards, the time range picker, auto refresh and wall display.
A dashboard is an owned object. It is stored on the server, carries a name and labels, and can be shared, duplicated and restored from the recycle bin — it is not a local browser preference.
Two screens
| Screen | What is on it |
|---|---|
| My dashboard | The active board — the canvas, the time range picker, refresh and edit mode |
| Dashboards | The library: every board, sharing, labels, ready-made boards and the recycle bin |
The library opens from the All dashboards button on the board itself.
The library
The list is split into All · Mine · Shared with me · Ready-made · Recycle bin, and shows each board's name, owner, when it was created, when it was last updated, when you last opened it, its labels and its sharing state.
Row actions: open · duplicate · rename · labels · sharing · export · move to trash. In the recycle bin two actions remain — restore and delete permanently.
Sharing
| Value | Who sees it |
|---|---|
| Private | Only you |
| All users | Any signed-in user can open and duplicate it |
| Selected roles | Only members of the roles you pick |
Labels are comma-separated and a board can carry more than one — "Infrastructure" and "Weekly". They are labels, not folders, so there is no hierarchy to decide on.
The canvas
A six-column grid. Height is measured in rows, up to ten. In edit mode you drag a widget anywhere and pull its corner to resize; Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z undo and redo.
The first column is the rightmost one in Hebrew and the leftmost one in English — one saved layout renders correctly in both languages, with no mirroring.
The board shows its own save state: saved · saving… · not saved · save failed.
The time range
One picker for the whole board: the last 7, 30 or 90 days, a month, a quarter, the last 12 months, a year, everything, or a custom range. Month, quarter and year get Previous period and Next period; ranges counted backwards from today do not — stepping one would quietly turn it into something else.
Refresh and wall display
Auto refresh: off, 30 seconds, one minute, 5 minutes or 15 minutes, with Refresh now beside it. Full screen spreads the board across the whole display for wall use — auto refresh keeps running there, and Esc exits.
Moving a board between installations
Export to file writes the board as a JSON file, and Upload in the library reads one back. That is the path for carrying a board between environments.
With no connection to the server
The board loads and saves into the browser's local copy, and the screen says so explicitly. Sharing and labels are unavailable until the connection returns.
The widgets themselves — data sources, grouping, chart types and click-through — are covered in Widgets and queries.
